Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) James Ebeler serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Technical Advisor to the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO/G-6). As the CTO and Senior Technical Advisor, CW5 Ebeler reports directly to the Army CIO/G-6. He assists in establishing and directing strategy, policy, guidance, planning and functional proponency for Army worldwide current and future Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) and Information Technology (IT) support during peacetime, crisis, contingencies and war.
His assignments include: Command Chief Warrant Officer Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM); G3 Technical Advisor, 7th SC(T), Fort Gordon, GA; S3 Plans Network Technician, 106th Signal Brigade, Fort Sam Houston, TX; Battalion Network Management Technician, 40th Signal Battalion, Fort Huachuca, AZ; Division G6 Network Management Technician, 1st Armored Division; and Battalion Network Management Technician, 141st Signal Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Wiesbaden, Germany.
CW5 Ebeler’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (3rd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), and Army Achievement Medal (4th Award).
